A big crowd is expected to head to Clearlake Oaks later this spring for one of the region’s biggest fishing traditions. The annual Catfish Derby is back for its 42nd year, drawing anglers from all over and giving a noticeable boost to local businesses. Organizers say many participants come from out of town, filling up hotels and restaurants during the three-day event. Fishing kicks off May 15 and runs through May 17, with $10,000 in prizes on the line.
