A big dog with a big personality is now “running” for mayor in Mendocino. Bodhi, a 120-pound malamute, has stepped down as the dog park’s unofficial sheriff to launch a campaign that doubles as a fundraiser. The goal is to support the local dog parks and community center while spreading a little fun around town. And even though there’s no real mayor’s race, supporters say it’s a lighthearted way to bring people together.
