A police situation in Ukiah yesterday morning ended with a man in custody. Officers were called out just before 8am to the Staples parking lot on Airport Park Boulevard after reports of someone hiding a gun under a blanket. They say the man wouldn’t follow commands and kept moving around the lot, leading officers to use a less-lethal option. Medics were brought in afterward, but it’s still unclear how the man is doing or if a weapon was actually found. Police say the situation is still developing.
