Mendocino County is taking a direct approach to the fentanyl crisis, putting the voices of students front and center. The County Office of Education is hosting two free screenings of the documentary “Fentanyl High,” a film produced by teens that explores the real-world dangers of opioid poisoning and how families can protect themselves. The documentary was filmed over 14 months and features California high schoolers sharing their own experiences alongside first responders and health experts. Following the film, local health professionals and a family who has lost a loved one to fentanyl will lead a panel discussion focused on prevention and mental health. The screenings will be in Ukiah on Wednesday, March 25th, from 5:30 to 8 at the Regal Ukiah, while a second showing will be on Thursday, April 2nd, at Coast Cinemas in Fort Bragg. Admission is free.
