A new report is raising concerns about wage theft in California, especially among domestic workers. Researchers say about one in five workers in that field are making less than minimum wage, adding up to billions in lost income over time. The Workplace Justice Lab says the average worker loses around $4,200 a year. House cleaners and childcare workers, many of them women and people of color, are hit the hardest.
