A long-empty restaurant building in Ukiah is finally headed for demolition after city officials signed off on the plan. The city’s Demolition Review Committee approved tearing down the old Perkins Street Bar and Grill at 228 East Perkins Street. The Pinoleville Pomo Nation now owns the property and plans to build a new medical facility in its place. Because the structure dates back to the mid-1960s, staff conducted a required historical review but concluded the building isn’t considered historically significant.
