Emergency responders were called to a crash Tuesday afternoon on Highway 162 west of Covelo. Authorities say a white Toyota Camry and an SUV collided near Poonkinney Road, leaving at least one person injured. The injured occupant called 911 asking for medical help, prompting dispatch to send an ambulance to the scene. Investigators say the cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
