Lake County officials are turning to Washington for help after January’s Robin Lane sewer spill. The Board of Supervisors is asking Congressman Mike Thompson to support a federal funding request to upgrade the system. The county hopes to build two new lift stations to reduce pressure on aging sewer lines like the one that failed near Clear Lake. Officials say the spill response drained local funds, making federal assistance especially important.
