The Lake County Board of Supervisors is looking for federal help to upgrade its sewer system in the wake of January’s Robin Lane Spill. They’re asking Congressman Mike Thompson to back a request for the money to improve the system to prevent similar problems. Specifically, they’re looking for help with two new lift stations to reduce the pressure on the aging line, like the one that let go in Clear Lake. The spill response has left the Lake County Special Districts, which manages the system, broke so officials say any help from Washington would be a big plus.
