Ukiah voters will head to the polls again to fill a vacant seat on the local school board. The Mendocino County superintendent of schools has ordered a special election for the Trustee Area 6 position after earlier attempts to fill the seat came up empty. The spot has been vacant since last spring when trustee Rebeca Orozco stepped down. The election is scheduled for August 25, and candidates can begin filing paperwork starting May 4.
