California regulators say a statewide effort to remove illegal kratom products from stores is already showing results. Agents have pulled more than 3,300 kratom-related items from shelves after thousands of inspections across the state. Officials say about 95 percent of businesses cooperated after receiving warnings about the illegal products. Health leaders warn kratom has been linked to addiction, overdose and death, and remains illegal to sell in California.
