A special election has been set for a vacancy in the Ukiah School District. The district says it’s accepting application forms for the seat that covers the Trutsee area 6 for the election on June 2nd. To qualify, candidates must be registered voters residing within Trustee Area 6. The term for the seat runs through December 2026. The individual may then file to run in the next regular election to seek a full term. Trustee Area 6 includes portions of south and southeast Ukiah, generally extending from East Gobbi Street south along South Dora Street and South State Street, past Beacon Lane toward Robinson Creek and the Russian River. The area includes neighborhoods near Washington Avenue and portions of Highway 101, looping north through areas east of the freeway. Information is available from the school district office.
