Voters in Lakeport could soon decide on a multi-million-dollar school upgrade plan. The Lakeport Unified School District meets tonight to consider putting a $24.5 million bond on the June ballot aimed at fixing roofs and plumbing, improving security and expanding career education space. Superintendent Matt Bullard says the district has significant facility needs and must secure a funding source. If the board signs off, the measure has to be filed with the county by March 6 to qualify for the June 2 primary.
