A man from Ukiah is accused of holding a woman against her will in an Oakland motel room and jumping out a window as police tried to arrest him. Police responded to the motel after the woman’s mother reported her missing and that her daughter was held hostage. Police say Alexander Barger had also forced the woman to have sex with strangers. Reports say Barger has a record. He was charged last March in Mendocino County with stealing a vehicle while he was already out on bail for an earlier crime.
