Mardi Gras comes to Ukiah this weekend with a purpose. St. Mary of the Angels Catholic School is hosting its annual fundraiser, a tradition spanning more than five decades that supports tuition help and classroom programs. This year, organizers say funds will also go toward keeping a sixth-grade teacher in place and strengthening scholarships. The event happens Saturday at the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds with dinner, music and auction fun.
