
A break in the precipitation is expected Thursday afternoon through Friday before another storm system moves in for the weekend, bringing rain, snow & strong winds. The National Weather Service says heavy rain, higher snow levels, and strong gusty winds are probable. Flooding is possible in Mendocino and Lake countiest this weekend and into early next week with downpours that may overwhelm the rivers and streams. In addition to the rainfall, heavy mountain snow and strong southerly winds are likely. The wind this weekend could gust 40 to 55 mph at the lower elevations, and the higher elevation wind gusts over 70 mph.
