
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 10 tonight until 4 Wednesday for interior locations above 2,000 feet. The National Weather Service says Heavy snow is possible at elevations above 2500 feet. Total snow accumulations up to 4 inches are possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Tuesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. There is still quite a bit of uncertainty about how low the snow levels will get. Tuesday morning, there may be snow at the lake level in Lake County. Highway 101 may see snow, especially north of Ukiah. Meanwhile, expect moderate to heavy rainfall, especially in Mendocino and Lake counties, where l 1 to 2 inches is possible by the time the storms move through. This may cause some minor flooding of small streams, streets, and low-lying areas. Snow is a major concern up in the mountains.
