
A new program is underway to monitor the threatened Clear Lake Hitch. It’s a volunteer-based effort that will see observers fan out around the Lake to look for and document the small fish. There are 33 pre selected site where they will start collecting that information on March 6th and continue for 10 weeks. After that, the data from the community scientists will be used to add to the existing information about the fish which has seen its population decline.
