A quiet afternoon in Laytonville turned tense when gunfire left a 68-year-old man grazed in the head. The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office says  deputies were called to Branscomb Road Friday around midday, where 32-year-old Brandon Lee Langenderfer is accused of firing a gun at the victim before running into the woods. Deputies later tracked down a vehicle linked to the suspect, launched a drone, searched on foot, and were able to locate and arrest Langenderfer and 31-year-old Miranda Marie Mullins without further incident. The suspect is being held without bail on attempted murder and parole violation charges, and investigators say the case is still active.
