A corrections deputy is now behind bars after an internal investigation turned criminal. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office says a report received last September led detectives to investigate alleged sexual misconduct involving an inmate at the Hill Road Correctional Facility in 2024. Authorities say 35-year-old Daniel Constancio Junior of Willits violated the law while the victim was in custody. He surrendered Thursday on multiple felony charges and is now held in the Mendocino County Jail as the case moves forward.
