A pizza restaurant in Willits is closing its doors. Owners of LaSiciliana on Main Street say they’ll serve their last pies on February 28th. In a social media post, they call it a difficult decision and are thanking customers and staff for the 11 years. A long-time employee at the Mendocino County DA’s office is calling it a career. Chief District Attorney Investigator Andrew Alvarado is retiring from his position. D A Davaid Eyster says Alvarado set the standard for his job as an investigator and as a role model and mentor for others in the office. Eyster says the legacy of Alvarado’s work will continue after he leaves.
