Housing challenges facing tribal communities in Mendocino County will be discussed at a workshop today in Redwood Valley. Northern Circle Indian Housing Authority is teaming up with the state’s Tribal Affairs program to share information about funding and resources. Organizers say they also want to hear directly from community members about the obstacles they’re facing. Attendees can learn how to apply for a state advisory committee that helps shape tribal housing decisions. The event runs from 10 to 2 at the Consolidated Tribal Health Project.
