A new judge is now taking the bench in Lake County. John Langan was sworn in Wednesday in Lakeport, stepping into the role vacated by Judge Andrew Blum. Langan previously served as a court commissioner and spent nearly two decades with the District Attorney’s Office. Governor Gavin Newsom appointed him after a lengthy vetting process. Langan says he’s honored to serve and is ready to tackle a busy docket right away.
