With incoming precipitation tonight and tomorrow, firefighters are looking to resume prescribed fire projects this week. On the Upper Lake Ranger District, firefighters plan to burn up to 65 acres of machine and hand piles in the North Shore project along Bartlett Springs Rd and Long Valley Ridge above the communities of Nice and Lucerne. Ignitions may continue throughout the week pending favorable conditions. All prescribed fire activities are carefully monitored and will be patrolled over the weekend.
