The Mendocino County Board of Health and the State Water Resources Board are asking students, facility and staff in the Potter Valley School District to use bottled water or boil tap water as a safety precaution. The district calls it a water quality emergency and says it is doing tests to determine when the water is OK. They want everyone to bring clean water containers–up to five gallons–to use for the time being. They are also providing water at the school offices and at the district office as well. Officials say drinking the tap water could result in stomach or intestinal illness. No word on the cause of the water issue
