We’re learning more about the Ukiah assault we first told you about yesterday. Police say the suspect, Clarence Wells, was a family friend staying with the elderly victims. Investigators say Wells attacked both with a skateboard over the weekend, causing serious head injuries. The victims were airlifted out of the county for treatment and are believed to be stable. Wells was detained at the scene and later booked into the Mendocino County Jail.So far no motive for the attack has been established.
