A recent California law that would stop ICE agents from wearing masks during immigration enforcement operations has been struck down by a federal judge. U.S. District Judge Christina Snyder, a Clinton appointee, said the law shouldn’t be enforceable because it applies only to federal agents, not state or local law enforcement, and that violates the Constitution’s Supremacy Clause since it discriminates against federal employees. But Snyder said if the law was changed to include California cops, it might stand. The case was brought by the Trump administration.
