Ukiah High School Senior Irie Wagar has been named Mendocino County’s newest youth poet laureate. Wagar was chosen for the position through a county-wide selection process. She was chosen for her powerful, creative voice and dedication to the arts. Officials say Wagar’s work reflects heart, honesty, and imagination.
