More progress to report as Lake County continues to deal with last month’s sewage spill in Clearlake. 29 temporary water tanks have now been installed to help residents near Robin Lane who have been unable to use their wells since the spill poured 3 million gallons of sewage into the ground on January 11th. Tests on more wells bring the number to 441 at 159 different sites. The unified command handling the response says 65 wells have been sanitized. It takes two consecutive negative tests for contamination to declare a well safe, and the property owner is notified. No word yet on how many wells have been cleared. There is another town hall-style meeting about the spill planned for Wednesday at 6 PM
