Officials in Clearlake promise what they call data-driven decisions as they continue to deal with the major sewage spill that has disrupted life for dozens of residents. They admit resolving the situation is talking lomnger than they had hoped–and think that the new incident command team set up earlier this week will help. Assessment teams have been out in the Robin Lane area all week, talking to residents and wrapping up initial tests on the affected wells in the area. They expect to have an updated water use advisory soon, based on what they have found so far. Nearly 3 million gallons of sewage gushed out of a ruptured force main on January 11th. The County has allocated $750,000 for temporary water tanks and ongoing testing. The city and county say they can’t provide an estimate yet of when the area will be back to normal.
