A record number of passengers for the Charles Schultz-Sonoma County Airport. The airport says it saw a 1 percent increase in flyers, with 780,637. Officials hadn’t expected the record, but more people flying Alaska and American put the number over the top. That’s despite one of the carriers that started the year there pulling out in December. Avelo’s cuts part of a major shift in service from that discount carrier. Several new routes are planned for 2026, which have the airport looking for anothe record setting 2026, as more travelers from Lake and Mendocino County opt for a regional flight rather than trekking to the Bay Area.
