California’s governor is looking into claims that TikTok is censoring content that criticizes the Trump administration. Gavin Newsom says he’s reviewing whether the platform may be breaking state law after some users said posts were flagged or got zero views when discussing certain topics, including news about federal agent shootings. TikTok says the problems stem from a technical outage, not account restrictions. The controversy comes after the app was sold to new American and Middle Eastern investors last week.
