The Ukiah High School Varsity Cheer squad can call themselves State Champs–and is now moving on to national competitions. The team won the JAMZ Cheer and Dance Cali Competition last weekend in Bakersfield with the highest overall score in that event–beating teams from across the state. Superintendent Deb Kubin calls that a significant accomplishment that came after hard work and a commitment to excellence.
