
Mendocino County is seeing protests this weekend tied to a wave of demonstrations planned across the country. Organizers say the “ICE Out for Good” events are aimed at heightened immigration enforcement under President Trump’s second term and a fatal ICE shooting in Minnesota earlier this month. Indivisible Ukiah says the protests are meant to pressure Congress to rein in ICE and reduce its funding and scope. While officials say there’s been no confirmed ICE activity locally, volunteers have set up a hotline for reported sightings.
