Cal Fire is joining with the State Fire Marshall’s office in a campaign to reduce the risk of fires. They’re both taking part in the annual Community Risk Reduction Week through the 26th. They say Community Risk Reduction is a good way s to protect lives, property, and the environment. California’s Fire Marshall Daniel Berlant, Community Risk Reduction,n is about more than responding to emergencies—it’s about prevention. Berlant also says working together to identify risks–and do something about them–makes communities safer. They’ve set up a Risk Reduction Hub as a resource this week–and year-round–at the site osfm,fire.ca.gov.
