After years of drought, California’s water picture is finally looking better. State officials say recent storms have boosted reservoirs like Lake Oroville, along with healthier snowpack and improving groundwater levels across much of the state. Governor Gavin Newsom says the gains reflect long-term investments in capturing and storing water during wet years. Even so, officials warn conservation and planning remain critical as California prepares for more climate swings ahead.
