A late-night traffic stop involving multiple agencies ended with three people detained east of Willits. Law enforcement began following a vehicle out of Covelo on Highway 162 after identifying a passenger with a warrant, then coordinated a stop near Longvale. Officers conducted a felony stop with weapons drawn and quickly took all three occupants into custody. Authorities say details are preliminary, and official information from the sheriff’s office is expected later.
