Cleanup efforts are expanding after last weekend’s sewage spill near Robin Lane in Clearlake. County officials say contaminated water reached Burns Valley Creek and portions of Clear Lake, prompting new safety measures. The broken sewer line has been fixed, but monitoring and mitigation are continuing. Residents are being told to stick with bottled water and stay out of nearby creeks and lakes for now. County officials say updates will continue as testing and cleanup move forward.
