A day after we first told you about the sewage spill in Clearlake, the situation has now escalated at the county level. Officials say the line has been repaired, but contamination reached Burns Valley Creek and Clear Lake, and residents are still being warned not to drink well water. County leaders say the declarations will help speed up cleanup, monitoring, and requests for state support.
