A Mendocino County surfer believes he may have been attacked by a shark. The Mendocino Voice reports Tommy Civik says he was surfing near the Gualala River mouth when something slammed into him, breaking his board and throwing him from the water. He made it to shore with bite wounds on his leg that required stitches. Wildlife officials are now testing his damaged board and wetsuit to confirm what caused the attack.
