Residents are being urged to stay away from wild mushrooms after a deadly poisoning in Sonoma County. Health officials say a local resident died last weekend after eating toxic mushrooms, but have not released further details. They say mild weather and early rains have caused a spike in dangerous death cap mushrooms across Northern California. Since November, California has seen 35 poisoning cases, with three deaths and several people requiring liver transplants.
