An overnight earthquake woke up parts of the North Coast, with shaking felt across Lake County. The U.S. Geological Survey says the 4.2-magnitude quake hit northeast of Cloverdale at a shallow depth. State Senator Mike McGuire called it a pretty strong jolt felt in both Sonoma and western Lake counties. By early this morning, more than 170 people had reported feeling the quake, including residents in Lakeport and Kelseyville. No damage or injuries were reported, and a smaller aftershock followed shortly after.
