A Ukiah High School teacher accused of sending inappropriate messages to a teenager was back in court Monday, though prosecutors have not filed charges. Matt LaFever was arrested in November and placed on leave from the school following the allegations. A judge is now considering a special master to review seized electronic devices because they may contain protected journalistic material.
