The Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County expects the increasing demand for its services in the new year to continue. The group says it took in around 800 dogs and cats in 2025–and helped thousands more animals through its work. The shelter is looking for support from the community for things like crates, dog and cat food, and other supplies. Their website has a wish list of what’s most needed.
