The local price varies depending on whereyou are. In Menconio County, AAA reports a gallon of regular unleaded is $4.39 while in Lake County, the same gallon costs on average $4,17. If you’re looking for the least expensive gas in the state, a trip to Glenn County finds a gallon going for $3.98. Least expensive gas in the US? That would be in Iowa at $2.36 a gallon. Experts say the price should be steady to start the year.
