Law enforcement is warning about a new threat to your home. Police in the region say they’ve seen at least one case of a high tech surveillance, where burglars hid cameras in the bushes, covered by fake leaves, to case a house before breaking in. They say it was likely the work of loosely organized criminal gangs from South America, known to commit extensive pre-crime surveillance–snooping on potential targets both in person and online to find the best time to do their crime. Cops say awareness of anything that doesn’t seem right around your ot your neighbors’ property is one of their best deterrents.
