The SPCA of Lake County is getting a new cash infusion. Lake Co News reports the $10,000 grant for the “Feed Them Fix Them” program is being funded to help feral cats. The news site reports this is the only high-volume spay neuter campaign that is high quality and free. The SPCA is one of nearly a dozen groups getting money from the total of $100,500 from Jameson Humane’s inaugural Grants for Global Stewardship. It’s to support groups creating “meaningful, measurable impact for animals and communities”, according to the founder and president of Jameson Humane. Apparently, the Humane Society is also currently expanding the Feed Them Fix Them program in 2026 so they can get in more veterinarians, staff members and perform more surgeries.
