The Mendocino Fire Safe Council says a State grant will help it continue its popular Wood Chipper Days and Work Parties for another three years. The council provides free brush pile cleanupafter cutting hazardous growth, and helps with workday projects that need support. The council calls the grants good news in a time when grant money is tight, and says that their programs are an important part of wildfire preparedness.
