A flood watch remains in effect in Mendocino County throughFriday evening. . Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible with another several inches of rain possible. Forecasts say the weather should finally dry out by the weekend. Also, in effect, a high wind warning from 7 PM to 6 AM P tomorrow. Southeast winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts from 50 to 70 mph are expected. Strongest winds over the coastal headlands, exposed ridges, and through gaps in the terrain. That could bring down trees and cause power outages–PG&E says it has crews standing by to move in quickly to repair any damage.
