The heavy rain continues to cause problems in parts of Mendocino County, and forecasters predict more of the same until the end of the week. Several roads have been closed, including Rt 175 at 101 in Hopland, Rt 128 at Flynn Creek Road west of Navarro, and Rt 1 North of Point Arena at the Garcia River. Rock and mud slides have also been reported with the soaking rain. The CalTrans website is a good resource for the latest road information. Impressive rainfall totals this far–include almost 8 inches just SW of Laytonville, and just over 5 inches northwest of Ukiah.
